Bringing home a puppy is exciting, funny and occasionally a little chaotic. Puppy training
should help you understand what your puppy needs  not make you feel like either of
you is getting it wrong.
I run a six-week Puppy Life Skills course in Worthing and Goring, plus one-to-one puppy
coaching for families who want individual support.

Six-Week Puppy Life Skills Course
This isn’t about producing an “obedient” puppy in six weeks — it’s about giving you and
your puppy the skills to enjoy life together, and understand how puppies grow, think and
develop.
You’ll cover:
Recall foundations and focus on you
Loose-lead walking
Settling on a mat and learning to relax
Handling and cooperative care
Preventing jumping up, biting and chewing
Confidence around new experiences, people and other dogs

We’ll also touch on toilet training, sleep, socialisation, body language and adolescence.
Classes stay small for individual attention — up to six puppies in East Worthing, up to
four in Goring. Your puppy doesn’t need to be perfect. Barking, shyness and the
occasional wobble are all normal, and there’s always room to adapt or take a break.
Is it right for your puppy? The course suits young puppies starting their training
journey who’ve had the vaccinations needed for group settings. If your puppy is older,
nervous or already showing a specific difficulty, get in touch first — a private session
might be the better starting point.

Tailored support for your puppy, your home and your routine — whether that’s before
your puppy arrives, in the first few weeks, or to tackle something specific like biting,
toilet training, recall or settling. Sessions are practical, and you’ll leave with a clear plan
to work on at home.
One-to-one coaching also suits puppies not yet ready for a group class, or owners
who’d simply prefer to train at their own pace.

My Training Approach
Puppies aren’t being difficult when they struggle — they’re young animals learning how
to live in a human world. I use positive, reward-based methods, adapted to the puppy in
front of me. I’m an IMDT-accredited puppy instructor, a DMWYD certified trick trainer,
canine first-aid trained, fully insured, and a licensed animal exhibitor, with over 25 years
of hands-on dog training experience.
