Private Puppy Coaching – One-to-One Session Welcoming a puppy home is exciting, but it can also be tiring, confusing and occasionally rather bitey! A private puppy coaching session gives you practical support tailored to your puppy, your home. These one-to-one sessions are ideal for new and future puppy owners who would like help preparing for their puppy’s arrival, settling them into family life or troubleshooting the challenges that often appear during the first weeks and months. We can work on toilet training, puppy biting and teething, sleeping through the night, settling when you are busy, safe socialisation, handling, confidence, first walks, recall, name response, loose-lead walking and calm greetings. I can also help with chewing, jumping up, stealing, overexcitement, frustration and other everyday puppy behaviours. Rather than telling you what to do, I’ll help you understand why your puppy is behaving in a particular way. You’ll learn how puppies communicate, how they learn and how to use rewards effectively. This gives you the confidence and practical tools to continue training your puppy yourself between sessions and as they grow. Training is kind, positive and reward-based. Your puppy will never be expected to get everything right. We will work at a pace that suits them, building confidence and encouraging helpful choices without fear, force or unnecessary pressure. Sessions can take place in your home, where many puppy challenges naturally occur, or in a local park when you are ready to work on walking, recall and confidence outdoors. Each session is shaped around your priorities, so you can ask questions and focus on what matters most to your family. You may book a single session for a particular concern or arrange further sessions for continued support. Puppy coaching can also help prepare you and your puppy for joining my six-week Puppy Life Skills Course, where you can continue developing everyday skills in a small, supportive group. I’m an accredited IMDT Puppy Instructor with years of hands-on experience working with dogs. My aim is not to make you dependent on a trainer, but to help you build a trusting relationship with your puppy and feel confident guiding them through puppyhood and beyond. One-to-one private puppy coaching sessions cost £45 per hour and are available in Worthing and the surrounding area.
